Kale Force by Flatliner74 Kale Force by Flatliner74
A long long time ago... I was a HUGE and I MEAN HUGE Dragonball fan. I created this character who was a female Saiya-Jin, because, well, there arent any. I needed some inspiration, and this just came out after I looked through like 4 sketchbooks. She's a really fun character to draw.
This is really my first piece using combo formats of Painter 8 and Photoshop 7. Totally digital, it took me about 5 full hours to complete.

well, i hate dragonball z / GT, and her face looks like someone i hate, but the picture is so dynamic, and she has a fantastic physique, so somehow i just can't hate this pic, in fact, i faved it. :+fav:

SHE'S COMIN' RIGHT FOR US! I like the feel of this one. It's like she's just about to smash my skull into tiny bits. Classic subject, a female Saiyajin, and this is defintely one of the best examples on it.

You've got an interesting character there. It sort of makes me disappointed that there wasn't a female saiyan presence in the DBZ series.

And there /were/ Females. I think actually there's one in one of the Sagas in a flashback.

I'm so certainly sure of it!
I'll go double check that, it's been a long time since i've done much dragon ball anything x_X...
But yeah =D awesome stuff, o_olove your style!

(sorry, I forgot to comment here instead of at the club, so I'll post again)

That...is an awesome female saiya-jin. None of this scrawny, sissy, delicate crap. You gave her MUSCLE! And on top of it, she still looks female.

Excellent. A wonderful balance between muscular and feminine. This is one of the best female Saiyans that I've seen done.

OMG
up til now i never realised there havent been any female saiyans.

nice flow to it all though real agressive stance. i like what you did with the background too i didnt realise it was the original picture manipulated cause it works extremely well with her motion.

+good dynamics
+good colour

-i think you over-forshortened the right leg
-what happened to the bottom of the left leg
-not feeling the musculature, but that's just personal preference

all in all it's a pretty good piece.

Beleive it... or not *jack Palance voice fading* The lower legs, both of them, are forshortened away from the camera, and are completely obscured by the thighs. However, i'm not sure it's anatomically possible the way I've drawn it. Chalk it up to artistic licence!

... did i brush that one under the rug alright?

Thanks for popping in dude! ;)

Yeah, they're brushed alright, in my opinion - and it IS anatomically correct... however it would be extremely hard to snap your legs back into position to kick or land. But Saiyans can fly... so whatever, lol.
